Course Summary

This program is presented as a refresher to the firearms instructor on the concepts associated with the duties of being a firearms instructor.  The firearms instructor is normally a collateral duty which takes commitment, on the instructor’s part, to stay current on all the trends in law enforcement associated with firearms, tactics, arrest techniques, etc.  The firearms instructor plays a vital role in the safety of the officer. As part of this training, we will refresh your understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship.  By reviewing the basics of marksmanship, it may assist you in aiding shooters to perform better on the range.
