Course Summary

This training is a compilation of TRN's National Use of Force training with 2 additional custom elements included. 

1. The Use of Force policies of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have been custom created and inserted into our national best practices Use of Force course.

2. This training also includes a custom simulation/test of the officer's report writing skills.  In this training the officer will watch a use of force video from a Texas officer's body camera, and after, they will be asked to complete a use of force report. The report will be written as if YOU are the officer wearing the body camera and it is your use of force incident.

  • During the video you need to take notes on information seen or heard in the video. After you have viewed the video you will be prompted to complete the use of force report.
  • Once this report is completed you will save the report to the online training system.
  • This training is designed to have a supervisor evaluate your written report.
  • This is an excellent tool to help new officers with their report writing, and to reUsefresh seasoned officers of the basics of use of force report writing.
