Course Summary

Ground zero of effective policing is understanding the “legal boundaries” of the law in the United States.
Regularly, the United States Supreme Court (USSC) hears cases that can, and do, affect the rights of citizens and how law enforcement professionals must conduct themselves.

This course will teach law enforcement about the cases, and case law, that help to frame the limits and powers of their duties. Cases from 2006 to present are available, with the newest cases updated annually.

There is no better individual in the country for teaching USSC case law than Randy Means J.D., one of a select few attorneys who worked on the landmark use of force case of Graham v Connor.  Randy provides excellent insight and education/training on the changes and updates by the United States Supreme Court.
