Course Summary
Workplace violence can erupt anywhere at any time. However, there are clues that should be paid attention to, if understood. As a leader, manager, or supervisor, your role is critical in recognizing potential situations and taking action to avoid dangerous outcomes and serious liability.
This course is a suggested template for assessing the potential for workplace violence. Participants should be aware that predicting who might contribute to a workplace violence situation is difficult as so many variables are involved. Additionally, workplace violence is not just a violent act. We also must consider the numerous types of behaviors, which are discussed throughout this course.
The more common workplace violence issues addressed include bullying, harassment of any kind, intimidation, and domestic or intimate partner violence ― a spectrum of behavior.
Learn to recognize the warning signs of a hazardous situation before it develops into an incident.
