USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES (Two-Factor Authentication)

We employ cookie technology to store and track information about the users of the Site. In addition, we may use web beacons, cookies, customized links and/or similar technologies to determine whether electronic newsletters sent by us to those who have opted to receive them from us have been opened and which links are clicked. The data collected will only be used in an aggregate form and will not contain any Personally Identifiable Information, as that term is defined below.

TRN will require by January 1, 2024, that all users of its website services to accept and follow a two-factor authentication method upon login to its services. This requirement is to assist the Company in protecting all end-user’s private information and reduce opportunities of cybercrime and hacking of its services and all customers.

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Using cookies, web beacons or similar technology, we track and collect information about your computer and software when you visit the Site. This information may include: (i) your IP address; (ii) domain server; (iii) type of computer; (iv) type of web browser; (v) access times; and (vi) referring web sites addresses (collectively “Traffic Data”). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you. Traffic Data assists us to design and arrange our web pages in the user-friendliest manner and to continually improve our Site to better meet the needs of users.

We use Traffic Data to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may provide Traffic Data and/or other aggregate non-personally identifying information to third parties.

If you choose to register with us and subscribe to our services (become an “Authorized User”), you will be asked to create a username a unique account password and by January 1, 2024, provide your mobile access number provide us with certain information that identifies you. Specifically, we will require certain “Personally Identifiable Information” from you as an individual online to verify your identity and to process your requests as an individual. Personally Identifiable Information may include information such as: First/Last Name/Agency or Institution of Employment e-Mail, mobile number and either law enforcement ID or Institutional ID number but Social Security will not be used or accepted by the Company.

If you choose not to provide us with any Personally Identifiable Information, access and use some portions of the Site may be limited and TRN can’t guarantee that your cyber-security will not be compromised. TRN takes industry standard measures to protect all end-user’s information from such incidents but if as an end-user to reduce your security. You will be able to access most services that we may offer and/or use those portions or features of the Site that will require your Personally Identifiable Information but possibly at an increased risk if not enrolled in a two-factor method.

If you communicate with us by e-mail, or otherwise complete online forms, surveys, or the like, any information provided in such communication may be collected as Personally Identifiable Information.

LOG DATA

Whenever you use our Services via the mobile app, in case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

USES AND SHARING OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Personally Identifiable Information private and will not share any of such information with third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or legal process served on us; (b) enforce our rights; (c) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of TRN, users of the Site or the public;(d) operate or conduct maintenance and repair of our services or equipment; (e) enforce our Institutional Subscriber Master License and Services Agreement, Membership Agreement and any other agreements, including investigation of potential violations thereof; and/or (f) detect, prevent and/or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

In general, we will only use Personally Identifiable Information for the purposes for which such information was provided to us.

We may use your Personally Identifiable Information for the following purposes: (a) to verify the information you provided to us; (b) to provide you the services that you have requested; (c) to provide you with information about us and our programs and services; (d) to provide services which Authorized Users are entitled in accordance with our Institutional Subscriber Master License and Services Agreement, Membership Agreement and any other agreements; (e) to produce aggregate statistical data for the improvement of services offered by us; (f) to respond to your inquiries; (g) to offer you other products, programs or services that we believe may be of interest to you; and (h) for any other purposes related to those set forth above.

From time to time, we may send you service-related communications. For instance, if our service is suspended temporarily either for maintenance or an unplanned outage of the Internet, we might send you notification e-mail ahead of time or if an interruption has suddenly occurred which not under our control or the hosting partner TRN uses you may also get a notice. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and e-mail address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide an easy way for you to unsubscribe, if needed. Please see the “Opt-out/Discontinue” section below for further details.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use the services of third parties and/or hire third parties to provide services on our behalf, such as processing and/or completing transactions relating to our services, handling, and delivering of e-mail communications, software development and testing and hosting of our Site. Some of the software consulting services may not reside within the borders of the United States of America. In the event TRN goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, sale of all or a portion of its assets, or reorganization or liquidation, TRN reserves the right to transfer, sell or assign information concerning the Site and your use of the Site, including without limitation your Personally Identifiable Information.

OPT-OUT/DISCONTINUE

While Authorized Users cannot unsubscribe from all messages relating to our services, we provide users the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having Personally Identifiable Information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication. An Authorized User may contact TRN at any time to request that all Personally Identifiable Information in TRN’s possession and control be deactivated and that services be discontinued.

CHANGING YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

If your Personally Identifiable Information changes, you may update it by making the change on your account page.

SECURITY

In the case we discover that a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, we immediately delete this from our servers.
